NJ Town Cyber Attacks Up Over 500%

In the last 5 years, New Jersey's local governments have experienced a 5x increase in Cyber Attacks. Much of this is driven by readily available hacking tools that require little technical expertise.

New Jersey's staggering losses don't even qualify it for the Top 5 in state cyber crime costs. That unenviable title is held by California,  at $450 million in (known) municipal losses in 2018.

In 2 years, at least three dozen NJ municipalities have been hit with cyber attacks. If that's not a reason to make changes, then we don't know what is!
