City Notifies Residents of Cyber Attack via Social Media

Nebraska's Wayne City suffered a debilitating ransomware attack. With all systems shut down, the city was forced to notify residents through Facebook.

"All of our internet based communication and systems are down." - Wayne City Facebook

The attackers may have stolen personal data, so city officials are encouraging residents to be on alert.

They urged everyone to monitor their financial accounts."
